About
Lara Wilson, Mondiwell Founder & Co-Creator
MA, GCMS, TSMa, RYT200, Reiki Master, Writer, Teacher & Equine Energy Facilitator
Lara integrates four decades of experience and training as an embodied mindful meditator, educator, writer, community builder, mother, grandmother, and equine energy practitioner. Her profound journey as a stage III cancer survivor trained in advanced Trauma-Sensitive Mindfulness (TSMa), energy healing, writing, literary arts and equine experiential connection allow her to co-create unique personalized programs that promote natural states of wellbeing. Lara’s ability to intuitively understand and empathize with humans and horses has been described as “magical," “spot-on,” and “life-affirming.”
Lara has guided thousands of fellow travelers to discover creative, accessible meditative and mindfulness practices. Over the past decade, she founded and led a 501c3 nonprofit mindful wellness educational collaborative, was granted a registered trademark for her unique BEtreat® programs, and established a compassionately connected sangha by offering free online meditation through the Concord Free Public Library.
During the Year of the Fire Horse, Lara travelled to South Africa to have a personal session and be on retreat with the incomparable Candice Webster and her beloved herd of equine healers. As a lifelong embodied horse befriender, Lara has studied equine experiential arts in America and abroad with many celebrated instructors. She completed equine-based leadership coursework with Eponaquest led by Linda Kohanov and the Polyvagal Equine Institute, and is mentored by master equine healer, Jessica O'Neill of Orchard Brook Farm (MA) and esteemed animal communicator, Anthea Payne (UK).
Lara has multiple master-level certifications as a mindful wellness practitioner, educator and healer, and is fully insured. A lifelong learner, she continually studies ancient wisdom traditions such as the Buddhist Dharma and Taoism as well as storytelling pedagogy, principles of nature immersion/forest bathing, and aspects of neuroscience related to nervous system regulation and heart coherence. Her compassionate practices have been profoundly influenced by many amazing equine teachers, including her four horses, who continue to clarify paths of intuitive understanding and loving kindness.
Lara invites us all to explore creative ways to seek ease, return to nature, re-regulate our systems, experiment playfully, communicate clearly, befriend lovingly, and Be Well together.
Testimonials
“Thank you for acknowledging and inspiring me. Our co-creatorship is so powerful and I will be forever grateful.” - K.B.
Lara listens well. She does not impose her ego in helping you to learn, heal, and grow. A lot of teachers try to solve things for you, they tell you what to do, who you are, what your problem is. Lara just shines a light! I feel lucky to have met her. She has been and will continue to be a catalyst for growth in my life. - Mitch
“I can’t tell you how much your weekly meditations help me! The short talks you give at the beginning of each are so beautifully considered and delivered and somehow seem to address the topic that is on — or even more magical, about to be on — my mind.” - E.W.
“I’m amazed by how connected I feel, to myself and to the world, after just 30 minutes of your group meditation.” - Denise
“Lara has a wonderful ability to enthusiastically teach and remind us how to work on living more mindfully. Her sessions help develop our daily mindfulness practice while also bringing peace and calm through guided meditations. I love how nature is an important part of Lara's practice, and how she introduces mindful books to us.” - Karin
I have been attending Lara Wilson's weekly meditation sessions via Zoom for the past five years. They are calming, inspirational and grounding. Lara's kindness and energy and joy is such a wonderful and inspiring way to start the day and head into the weekend. I have discovered many new “friends” and guides from these meditations because Lara has so graciously shared her own experiences and findings from books she has read and events attended. But the best guide of all has been Lara herself and how she has faced her own challenges in life with strength and courage and, most importantly, optimism and hope. Lara is also incredibly generous with her time by creating and leading many opportunities that promote mindfulness. She is a light in a world that is often dark these days. Lara blesses the lives of all those she encounters. - Bonnie B.
It’s not often that I feel compelled to write a letter of gratitude. My horse had a mild injury a month ago, and Lara Wilson offered him some Reiki. I didn’t know much about it at the time, but I could see from his eyes how much better he felt from it. I recently suffered a deep tissue injury with multiple hematomas and contusions, and have never felt such pain. I was literally been unable to walk more than a few steps. After three sleepless nights, I decided to try Reiki with Lara. I could not believe how quickly I felt relief after Lara’s hands gently floated over me. The deep tissue pain was immediately lessened, and for the first time in days, I felt relief. Lara Wilson is a godsend. I highly recommend anyone suffering to experience her magical hands. - Debra R.
“I’m so grateful that you have encouraged me to try different kinds of healing therapies. I never expected that the library program I originally signed up with would open up a new world to me. Thank you for all you do for me, for the library, for the town and the community at large.” - GK
